Hope you live downwind from one of the noted refineries Z51. Then you will get more than just empirical date on this serious helth threat! See how easy it will be to sell your home and just move further away from the hot zone.

Our President is leading the charge in the Anti-Industrial Revolution. Anarchy is the end result with the power addicts in D.C. running for cover and no one to rule over.

Nothing new in this news story, naturally Benzene from turning crude oil into gasoline can cause leukemia. Go look at the lack of standards in India for example and the incidence of cancer etc. in the adjacent population.

I need more empirical data than just comments made by the President and Phillip Landrigan. If there is data that supports this, then move the people to a safer area, until measures can be taken to make things safer.

Destroy the industrial base of the US and create a one world government for the elite. They will fail and be dealt with accordingly.

Obama wants it both ways. The typical way to get rid of this stuff was to burn it at very hot temperatures. But that boosts global warming gas emissions. So the refinery gets hit both ways. Either it collects these harmful byproducts and stores them forever or it burns them up and gets hit for that too.

Sounds like Obama is picking up the pieces again from the past governments that dropped everything and hid the truth and did little for the people!

It probably would be cheaper to pay to move the people away from the refineries rather than have one of Obama's government programs.....paid, of course, by the taxpayers (as in you and me)!!!!!!

Some people on this board have an answer for all seasons, when we talk about health problems they want to drill. Drilling is not the answer.Europe has seen the problem.

Safety first - many other industries have and practice safety rules - so can the oil industries without having to rob the consumers.

More Obama EPA controls, higher prices! Imagine that! I just can't cut the President a break giving what him and Congress have spent, of our money, to help us and things keep getting worse. He has the nerve to put his face on tv everyday and say how things are improving slow but sure. He can't name anywhere and can't give us the same story 2 days in a row. Elkhart, In., a city he visited several times and he said it would be when he got into office, and he afterward, is now dead in the water. It has one of the highest unemployment totals in the US.

I'm sure the chemicals and process are bad for a persons health. I am also sure that it will cost more at the pump to resolve it. Are you willing to pay a lot more?
